Mikael Wardhana's fascination for light and colour permeates throughout his photographic expression.The atmospheric ambience coupled with delicately lit subjects showcases Wardhana's skill and perfection in crafting his stunning visual masterpieces.

Originating from a small humble town in Indonesia, Wardhana's early experimentations began at the tender age of 18. Having emerged from the confines of a traditional asian heritage where self expression or individuality is not well embraced, Wardhana discovers more about himself as his work evolves.

Later pursuing further studies in photography at the critically acclaimed RMIT, Mikael bases his vision upon discovering the simple beauty in imperfections. He believes that in order to create a powerful image, one must incorporate both emotional and aesthetic qualities effortlessly. Technique should just be a tool to convey the soul in a photograph, as all elements to create an image must coexist harmoniously.

Mikael has a great passion for sharing his knowledge to others and occasionally holds photographic workshops. He has produced work for prestigious advertising clients and his images have been featured in highly regarded publications internationally.
